About Channels

What is a Channel?

A channel is the platform onto which your conversational assistant can be integrated and accessed by the end-user.

What channels are available?

Humley Studio currently uses three different channels:

  • Test Client is the channel where you can test your conversational assistant, during and after your build, from within Humley Studio.
  • Humley Conversation API is used when your conversation assistant is live and works directly within your companies website.
  • Microsoft Teams is also used when your conversation assistant has gone live and is a cloud-based team collaboration software.
  • Facebook Workplace is a communication tool that connects everyone in your company.

We are constantly reviewing more channels to be added to Humley Studio.

Managing channels

To manage your channels, follow these steps:

  1. In Humley Studio, click on the ellipses menu (next to the Project name on the left-hand side of the page) and select Manage Channels.
Here you will see all the live Channel options, plus the Channels that are coming soon.

  2. Click on your chosen channel and follow the Setup Guide in the sidebar to link it to your project.
